Dr. Douglas Granger is a Chancellor’s Professor of Psychological Science, Pediatrics, and Public Health, as well as the Director of the Institute for Interdisciplinary Salivary Bioscience Research, in the Department of Psychological Science at UCI. His research focuses on the development of methods related to saliva collection, analysis, and the theoretical integration of salivary measures into developmental, health, and behavioral research. Dr. Granger and the PRO-Health Research Program are collaborating on a salivary bioscience student research training program as part of the Rooting for Better Health / Fortaleciendo Nuestras Raíces Project, which is examining the role of salivary genetic markers and parental chronic stress during pregnancy on infant risk for adverse health and developmental outcomes.
